Five men of NATO forces, including three Americans, were killed Saturday in separate attacks in southern Afghanistan, where midnight is ongoing large-scale attack Afghan and foreign forces led by U.S. forces in the city Marzach.
"One soldier was killed by NATO bombing in the region, while another was killed during an exchange of gunfire" also in the southern region of the country, says concise statement of NATO-led force (Isaf).
The announcement does not specify the nationality of the soldiers, nor the exact location where there were two deadly incidents. The majority of soldiers operating in the area from the U.S., Britain, Canada and the Netherlands.
Earlier, the Isaf announced that three U.S. soldiers killed by bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan, without specifying whether the incident happened during the operation in Helmand province, or during suicide attack in the neighboring province of Kandahar.
At the same time the Ministry of Defence of Canada announced in Ottawa that a Canadian soldier was killed and four others wounded during a military exercise in Kandahar on Friday.
As announced by NATO, 15,000 soldiers of the Afghan military forces and foreign forces in Afghanistan, led by U.S. forces, taking part in a so called Mushtarak (Together) against Taliban positions in Marzach.
This is the largest-scale military operation of international military forces after the announcement to send 30,000 extra U.S. troops strength in Afghanistan by President Barack Obama last December in order to reverse the course of the business while strengthening the military forces of activities the Taliban.
